Concrete Canoe

The ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition is an annual competition run by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The competition involves:

  • construction of a canoe mold based on the structural design
  • design of the unique concrete mix
  • creation of the aesthetic designs of the canoe and the displays
  • production of a technical report
  • delivery of a technical presentation

Notre Dame has done well in the canoe competition at its regional symposium over the past few years, earning second-place finishes since 2024!
